HALF IMPULSE RADIATING ANTENNAS (HIRA)

Better ruggedness, broader frequency, improved returned loss: Montena’s HIRA180S delivers superior performance and reliability for your testing needs.
Easy to operate handheld system
The HIRA180S is an ultra-wideband radiating antenna for high-intensity pulses, similar to the IRA antenna but using a ground plane as an electromagnetic mirror. This antenna is particularly suited for hyperband tests according to IEC 61000-4-36. It produces a very narrow beam in the bore sight direction and can be oriented anywhere you want.
Compared with a full paraboloidal reflector antenna (IRA), this construction offers better ruggedness, a broader frequency range, and an improved return loss. Connected to a 30 kV / 115 ps pulse generator, the antenna can theoretically produce more than 8.3 kV/m at 20 meters.
